The Woman's Remote...

Baby Number Two...

Katelyn is going to be a big sister. Baby number two is one the way…July 28, 2010. We had our first ultrasound on Thursday. We have one baby in there. The heartbeat was 154.

Cute Moment…

The other day Katelyn and I were getting ready to go to the store. I asked if Mommy could put on her jacket because I was wearing short sleeves. She said yes and then wanted to put on her jacket. I told her she did not need one because she would be warm enough in long sleeves. She then proceeded to roll up her sleeves to make her shirt short sleeved and then asked to put on her jacket again. Our Princess is so cute!

2009 Christmas Cards…

It’s Warm Outside…

We are back in Arizona after a very cold Thanksgiving in New Mexico. We love the weather here. We can play outside without having to wear 10 different layers. We had a great Thanksgiving. Katelyn loved playing with her Grandma and Grandpa. Adam hurt his foot even worse while we were there after chasing his brother and had to limp around on crutches. Boys will be boys!

The Croup…

Our poor little girl has the croup. She is doing better after two rounds of steroids. We hope she is better and ready to play with her Cousins and Grandma and Grandpa.

No Tears…

Katelyn is doing great at preschool. She loves to read, color and paint. She is now going three half days a week. Today was the first day she did not cry when her Mommy left. Our big girl is having fun and growing up.

Carving the Pumpkin…

Katelyn was so excited to carve her pumpkin all day, but when the time came she thought it was gross and wanted nothing to do with it. Daddy ended up carving the pumpkin while Katelyn watched Toy Story.

Halloween…

Katelyn had a great Halloween. She was Minnie Mouse. She understood the concept of trick-or-treating by the second house. By the end of the night she was taking the candy from the bowl. Her favorites, M&Ms and suckers.

Daddy’s Little Helper…

Katelyn loves to help her Daddy do yard work on the weekends. Her favorite, sweeping.

Preschool…

Katelyn seems to be adjusting to preschool well. She only cries for a few minutes when I drop her off in the morning and then she is happy and active the rest of the day. Here are some of the things Katelyn has been doing at preschool.

She has been learning about shapes, farm animals, the letters “L,” “R,” and “T,” clouds, tigers, and Alaska.

Katelyn has painted lions, tigers, and rabbits, and has made a cloud.

She has listen to her teachers read “Tractor,” “It Looked Like Spilt Milk,” “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” and “Farm Animals.”

Katelyn loves reading time, art and outside time.

Pumpkin Patch!

On Saturday we took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. This year Katelyn thought the pumpkins made great bouncy balls and chairs. She tried to pick them up and throw them every chance she could get. Katelyn had a blast and enjoyed looking at the little chicks, and of course, eating cotton candy.

Second Day!

Katelyn had a great second day at preschool. She had a tough time in the morning, but after a few hours she was happy and playing with the other kids. Katelyn ate some of her lunch and she was even sleeping on her mat when Grandma came to pick her up.

St. George Marathon!

Adam ran the St. George Marathon on Saturday. Adam finished in 3:23:19. He did fantastic. Although he did not qualify for the Boston Marathon, he shattered his personal record by 20 minutes. Watch out Tucson…here comes Adam!

First Day!

Katelyn’s first day of pre-school! She is our big girl now. Tear! She did pretty well for her first day. She cried when Mommy left and a few times throughout the day. She would not eat. When Mommy went to pick her up she wanted to eat everything and when it was time to go she kept saying no. She wanted Mommy to stay there any play. The rest of the day she was babbling up a storm and wanted to go play outside the entire night. If only it was not 105 degrees outside.

Take me out to the ball game…

We took Katelyn to her first baseball game. The Arizona Diamondbacks vs. the Colorado Rockies. Katelyn had a blast. She got free cotton candy, her new favorite food! She also got to meet two players from the Colorado Rockies. Too bad the camera was with Daddy!
